Global Impact

Monad Capital Business For Good

At Monad Capital We Believe in Business for Good

Whilst we hold the interests of our investors at the forefront of what we do, we also greatly appreciate and feel an intrinsic duty to have a positive global impact through the vehicle we have created. For this reason, Monad Capital has committed to pledging a percentage of our internal profits to various causes locally and globally that are
close to our hearts.

Through our global impact arm of Monad Capital we identify opportunities and develop relationships in 4 key areas:

  1. Sick and disadvantaged children
  2. Access to clean water
  3. Access to nutritious food for disadvantaged
  4. Protecting the environment and biodiversity of critical areas

We currently have partnered with multiple charities both Australian based and abroad to begin making positive impacts. Contact us via email at dan@monadcapital.com to see how you can get involved.

Ronald McDonald House Newcastle gives seriously ill children the best gift of all – their families. The warm and supportive home-away-from-home provides the entire family with a comfortable place to stay and peace of mind, knowing they can stay together and close to their child at John Hunter Children’s Hospital whilst their child receives vital treatment.

Over 600 families a year stay at Newcastle House. The comfortable family bedrooms and self-contained units provide a homely experience to families when they need it most, while the common areas and calming beautiful outdoor spaces allow for shared journeys and unwavering support.

Environment

“The Amazon Rainforest, the world’s greatest remaining natural resource, is the most powerful and bio-actively diverse natural phenomenon on the planet. It has [sic] been described as the “Lungs of our Planet” because it provides the essential environmental world service of continuously recycling carbon dioxide into oxygen. It is estimated that over twenty percent of the earth’s oxygen is produced in this area. The Amazon rainforest covers over 1.2 billion acres in nine South American countries (Brazil, Columbia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia and the three Guyanas) representing two-fifths of the enormous South American continent. With 2.5 million square miles of Rainforest, the Amazon Rainforest represents 54 percent of the total rainforests left on the planet.”

Jungle Keepers

We are faced with an historic opportunity to save a significant part of the Western Amazon. We are calling for emergency funding to protect a crucial part of the Las Piedras River Basin, some of the most ancient, biodiverse rainforest on earth.
Supporting a ranger helps protect over 50,000 acres of primary forest that is home to billions of animal heartbeats, ancient ecosystems, undiscovered medicines and various indigenous communities.

In 1950, 15% of the earth’s land surface was covered by rainforest. Today, more than half of that has been destroyed in the service of the industrialization of the planet. The destruction is escalating, resulting in global impacts to climate change and weather patterns, loss of biodiversity, destruction of indigenous culture and many more devastating consequences.
